Spybot

Spybot is a free Windows program that finds and removes adware and spyware. ITS recommends that Windows users install Ad-Aware along with Spybot and run both frequently. Both programs are best used in conjunction with McAfee Anti-Virus.

Usage

Spybot can be downloaded here. After installing, run the program, check for updates, and immunize the system. Updates allow Spybot to download information on the latest adware threats, allowing them to be scanned for. After the updates are downloaded, click "Check for problems" to scan your computer. This will take several minutes.

If results are found, right-click on any of them and click "Fix Selected Problems." Reboot and run Spybot again to ensure that your system is clean.
